US-603004

A postcard of Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida. It is facing the Atlantic coast and have long sandy beach, which is also a tourism spot. The town is named after Major William Lauderdale, who was the commander of the detachment of soldiers who built the first fort. Thanks kookookachoo.

A 98 cents airmail stamp was used and cancelled with a neat postmark. It was sent from Taylorville, IL 62568 on 8.2.2012.
