A commemorative postcard from China's State Postal Bureau with postcard ID JP-142 (1-1). It is issued for the 2007 China Water Games (中国水上运动会) in Rizhao, Shandong (山东 日照). This Games was held between August 28 and September 8. A mascot of the Games is printed on the card and also a pre-printed 80 Fen stamp with the Games' emblem. It was cancelled with Guangdong Shenzhen Pingxin 2 (广东 深圳 平信 2) postmark. "Pingxin" means ordinary mail. Thanks MingZhu.














Additional stamps were affixed on the back of the postcard but they are not canceled. Two 150Fen wall painting of Helanshan (1998-21, 3-3) stamps and one scenery 80 Fen (2004-24, 12-2) Stamp. Altogether, the postage paid to send this postcard, including the face value of the card, is 4.60 Yuan. The sender also printed a list of results of Grand Slam by tennis player, Roger Federer.

Lots of low denomination stamps used on this postcard. The stamps are 44 cents blacelets, three 17 cents bighorn sheep, two 4 cents Chippendale chair, two 3 cents Striped Star and a 1 cent Tiffany lamp. The total amount postage paid is USD1.10. It is overpaid. The postcard was sent from Des Moines, Iowa, on 9.7.2009.

TW-P6

Another heritage monument from Lukang (鹿港), this is the Tianho Temple (天后宮). It is built during Ming Dynasty (1573). This temple is dedicated to Mazu. The temple is also declared as national third class mounument. Thanks AnnHuang.











A rather blur postmark. Actually, this card was re-sent. The frst time I received it was un-cancelled. So, I sent it back to the sender to re-send it. Well, at least, this time came with a postmark. Only the lower part of postmark is seen here. It was sent on 11.7.2009.
