Early spring in the deep lane (古巷春早) in southern part of Ahhui Province (安徽 or 皖). The landscape of Southern Ahhui (皖南) is dominated by hilly land. The old quarter of the city is built according to this landscape. Thanks DJK.

This postcard was sent using a pre-printed stamped envelope issued by Zhejiang Province in 2005. It is for mainly for mailing new year card to oversea address under a reduced rate scheme. The ID no. for this envelope is 08-330700-12-8125-000. The pre-printed stamp is auspicious drawing (麒麟送子) with 5 Yuan face value. Additional 50 Fen Outlaw of the Marsh (水浒传) stamp (1997-21,4-2) was added. This cover was cancelled with red-color Guangzhou Changganglu (Tongqu) 1 on 15.6.2009. The characters in Chinese is 广州 昌岗路 (筒取) 1. "Tongqu" means taken out of mailbox.
