A postcard on the artifact in Tokyo National Museum (東京国立博物館). This is a Dō-maru (胴丸) Armor with multi-colored braid lacing. Dō-maru or "body wrap" is a type of chest armour worn by the samurai class of feudal Japan.It is from Muromachi period in 15th Century. It is a gift from Mr. Akita Kazusue. Several stamps issued long time ago were used; they are a 1960 ¥5 stamp on Diet assembly, a 1970 ¥15 stamp on United Nations and a ¥50 stamp on festival in Osaka. They were cancelled at Takasu 341 on 3.7.2012.
