LV-P3

A card on Rīga as seen from the Daugava River. This side of the river is the historical center of the city or Vecrīga. Famous for its old churches and cathedrals, several of them are projected out of this cityscape. St. James's Cathedral (Svētā Jēkaba katedrāle) is on the left. While, Riga Cathedral (Rīgas Doms) on the right. Seeing closely with Riga Cathedral is the St. Peter's Church (Svētā Pētera Evaņģēliski luteriskā baznīca). This part of the city is listed in UNESCO World Heritage List under the name "Historic Centre of Riga." Thanks alexia.

It was sent inside an envelope. A 60 basketball stamp was used. It was cancelled at Rīga on 18.7.2011.
