PL-P12

This postcard shows the Castle Square (plac Zamkowy), which is the entrance to the Warsaw Old Town. This old town is listed in UNESCO World Heritage List under the name "Historical Centre of Warsaw". The Royal Castle of Warsaw (Zamek Królewski w Warszawie) is on the right in this picture. Sigismund's Column (kolumna Zygmunta III Wazy) is shown on the bottom left corner. The taller blue-roof building is St. John's Archcathedral (Archikatedra św. Jana). The colorful Kamienica (townhouse) is a unique architecture in this historical place. On top of this card shows the name of Warsaw in different languages, from right to left, Polish, English, German (and also Dutch), and French. Thanks magdala39.

A pair stamp from Polish comic "Tytus, Romek i A'Tomek" with different design (both having face value 1,55zł) and a pair of building definitive stamps (20gr) were used on this postcard. It was sent from Warszawa on 18.2.2010.
