US-P1

Galveston, Texas was a sea port and the gateway to the Southwest during the 19th Century. It is also the home for several historical ships, like the tall ship Ellisa (the official tall ship of Texas) at the Texas Seaport Museum, as shown in this postcard. This city was badly hurt by hurricane Ike in 2008. Thanks dreamingincode.

This postcard was sent from Houston TX 772 on 12(?).6.2009. The machine cancellation quite blur. It was posted with the latest postage rate of 98 cents. The stamps used include a 94 cents Trunk Bay airmail stamp together with 3 cents star stamp and a 1 cent Tiffany lamp stamp.
