ES-P5

The mosaic (mosaico de aquiles) of the Roman town of La Olmeda (Villa Romana "La Olmeda"), Pedrosa de La Vega, Palencia. This place was part of Roman province of Hispania Tarraconensis. The mosaic shows the hunters and their hunts. It was discovered by the archeologist in 1968. Thanks namiet.

It was sent from CTA Madrid on 10.6.2009 using a €0,78 International Polar Year Stamp. Another typical Madrid's machine cancellation.

In the meantime, I will be linking this postcard to the Festival of Postcards October issue which is dedicated to quadrupeds (animals).
I'll send you the link when we publish!

  3. I love this card - it's quite unusual. From Postcrossing? I hope your scanner problems are sorted out soon. I'd be lost without mine!
