PT-83990

A street scene of Lisbon (Lisboa). To be specific, it is the Praça de Figueira (Plaza of the Fig Tree) in the older part of the city. The Castle of São Jorge (Castelo of São Jorge) is overlooking the city from the hill top. Thanks Roands_31.

This postcard was sent inside an envelope. A €0.80 olive oil (azeite) stamp was used to send this envelope. Only partial postmark was cancelled on it. There is "1800" on the cancellation, what does it tell? Maybe the postcode, as Lisbon's starts with 1800 too.

Footnote:
1800 is a postal zone in Lisboa. Thanks Marklaro for pointing it out.

  1. Nice postcard. Lisbon is beautiful! 1800 is one postal code from Lisbon (but not the only one). This is the code of post office area.
