CN-P18

A postcard made of cardboard (牛皮纸) ...

Lin Family Mansion (林氏府) is one of the attractions in Gulangyu (鼓浪屿), just off the coast of Xiamen (厦门). Due to Western present on the island during end of 19th century, the island has many Victoria style architecture, including this one. This has made the island famous. The buildings on the island are being protected as include in the national list of heritage as of Western Modern Buidings in Gulangyu Island (鼓浪屿近代建筑物群). Thanks wen-tin.

A lovely block of four stamps of Shanghai Expo 2010 (2007-31, 2-1 and 2-2) was used. Each stamp come with a face value of 1.20 Yuan. Therefore, 4.80 Yuan was paid for the postage. It was sent from Fujian Xiamen Lujiang (Shoutou) 3 on 12.4.2009. Very clear and nice postmark... it is read as 福建 厦门 鹭江(收投) 3 the Chinese. "Shoutou" means receiving by hand.
