PL-P1

My first exchange through this blog...

The unique Polish buidlings in Old Town's Market Place (Rynek Starego Miasta) in Warszawa (Warsaw). This side maybe is the Barss' Side (Strona Barss) at the east side. This place was systematically blown up by German Army during the Second World War. It was restored after the war to its pre-war appearance. The statue in the square is Wario Wojciech. The Old Town Quarter of Warszawa (Warsaw) is listed in UNESCO world heritage list under the name "Historic Centre of Warsaw". Thanks Kazimierz.

It was sent from Tarnobrzeg 3 on 16.4.2009. Two stamps were used here. They are a definitive building stamp (10gr) and a stamp commemorating 2008 United Nations Climate Change Conference at Poznań (2,40zł). Therefore, 2.50 zł was paid for sending this postcard.

  1. Hello there!
I just visited your site for the first time and I think you might be interested in a project I run called A FESTIVAL OF POSTCARDS. It's a carnival blog dedicated to postcards lovers and all you have to do is publish a postcard related to the theme (this month theme = MAIN STREET) and send me the link.
This is what the last Festival of Postcards looked like:
