My first postcard from Round Robin of Postcrossing Forum...

An oil painting on canvas by Sergey Anatolevich Zverev (Сергей Анатолъевич Эверев) with the title Savkin Hill (Савкина Горка). Thanks strix_ru.














It was sent from Санкт-Петербург (Saint Petersburg) on 9.4.2009. Three stamps with a total face value of 19р. were used. They are 10р. Tsarskoye Selo (Царское Село or Tsar's Village), 5p. 125 year of telephone and 4p. Pavlovsk Palace (Павловск).

Flowering time showing the sign of spring at West Lake (西湖). At the background is the Baochu Pagoda (保俶塔). It is located just north of the lake on top of Precious Stone Hill (宝石山). It is also one of landmarks of the lake. Thanks Miko.














Two stamps with a total face value of 4.50 Yuan was used to send this postcard using airmail. These stamps are 1.50 Yuan definitive stamp of environmental theme and 3 Yuan greeting stamp. This postcard was sent from Zhejiang Wenling Fengfa 1 (浙江 温岭 封发 1) on 13.4.2009 using red color machine cancellation with five wavy-line.

NL-158854

A postcard from Holland, a synonym of the Netherlands. This Dutch postcard integrates several aspects of its country: the motorbikes, the bicycles, tulips and stroopwafel, a type of cookies from Gouda. The font type used here is in arabic style and tri-colour of its flag in the background. Thanks My27FairLady.















It was sent from Rotterdam on 20.4.2009 using five wavy-line machine postmark. A 95 Euro Cents heart-shape earth was used. The stamp is quite unique as the upper part is printed with priority and this part has rouletted separation from the rest of the stamp.

My first exchange through this blog...

The unique Polish buidlings in Old Town's Market Place (Rynek Starego Miasta) in Warszawa (Warsaw). This side maybe is the Barss' Side (Strona Barss) at the east side. This place was systematically blown up by German Army during the Second World War. It was restored after the war to its pre-war appearance. The statue in the square is Wario Wojciech. The Old Town Quarter of Warszawa (Warsaw) is listed in UNESCO world heritage list under the name "Historic Centre of Warsaw". Thanks Kazimierz.




















It was sent from Tarnobrzeg 3 on 16.4.2009. Two stamps were used here. They are a definitive building stamp (10gr) and a stamp commemorating 2008 United Nations Climate Change Conference at Poznań (2,40zł). Therefore, 2.50 zł was paid for sending this postcard.

Lion Grove Garden (狮子林) is one of the Classical gardens in Suzhou, the UNESCO world heritage sites. It is used to be part of a monastery and built in Yuan Dynasty. The garden name derived from the rocks that resemble lion shape. Thanks yunshui.














It was sent from Suzhou Kunshan Bingxi 3 (苏州 昆山 兵希 3) on 27.3.2009. International postcard airmail rate was paid using two stamps. They are 150 Fen scenery stamp (1998-16, 3-3) and a 3Yuan greeting stamp.










Additional postmark is at the bottom. It is much more clearer.

A postcard shows the morning scenery of Jinshan (金山), Zhenjiang (镇江). Jinshan is a hill situated in the northwest of the town. Its height is about 44m. On the hill, there is a Buddhist temple, Jiangtianchansi (江天禅寺), also known as Jinshansi (金山寺). The pagoda inside the postcard is part of the temple. It is known as Cishouta (慈寿塔). It was sent from Jiangsu Zhenjiang Zhongshandonglu 4 (江苏 镇江 中山东路4) on 14.3.2009. Two stamps with a total face value of 3 Yuan were used. They are 200 Fen Imperial Palace (1998, 4-3) and 100 Fen Asian Elephants (1995-11, 2-1). Both stamps are join issue with other postal authorities. The former is with the French, while the later with Thai.

A Zhejiang postcard (浙YP-0427) shows one of the 56 etnic groups of China, the Han Chinese. The main etnic group of China. Thanks semper_fi.



















This postcard came with a pre-printed 60 Fen flowers stamp. It was stamped with a red five-wavy lines of Guangzhou Tonghe (From Mailbox) Machine 1 or 广州 同和(筒取)机1 in Chinese on 26.3.2009.













Additional stamps were affixed on the other corner. There are two 1.20 Yuan new year picture stamps (2008-2, 4-1) and this made up the total postage paid is 3 Yuan, international surface rate for postcard. Since they are away from the conventional place affixing stamps. They are manually stamped with Guangzhou Tonhhe 9 (广州 同和 9) on the same day.

A commercial lottery postcard from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China , Zhejiang Branch(中国工商银行 浙江省分行). It was issued in Hangzhou with the postcard ID 2006-1105(BK)-0037. It was promoting its financial service product. Thanks semper_fi.












A pre-printed 60 Fen Year of the Dog stamp for same-city postage on the postcard. Without any additional postage, it was sent from Sichuan Tongjiang Chengnan 2 (四川 通江 城南 2) on 9.4.2009 underpaid, even between cities in China. Another surprise postcard from semper_fi.

UA-P1

The fountain of Майдан Незалежності (Maydan Nezalezhnosti), the Independent Square with Monument to the Annalistic fouders of Kiev (Kyiv) City. According to legend, Kyi, Schek and Khoryv are the three brothers, sometimes mentioned along with their sister Lybid, were the founders of Kyiv city, the capital of Ukraine. A non-value indicator stamp with an "E" stamp was used to send this postcard. It is an ink bottle with a feather pen. A three-wavy lines machine postmark of Kyiv (Kiev) stamped on 20.3.2009. Additional postmark is partially stamped on the upper left. What has happen?
