A postcard on an island at Kandy Lake. It is known as Diyatilaka Mandapa (දියතිලක මණ්ඩපය). Only some historical structure is left. This place is near to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Thanks Dr Mikram.

A postcard in a Hindu temple in Nallur, Jaffna. The picture shows the entrance to the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil (Tamil: நல்லூர் கந்தசுவாமி கோவில், or in Sinhala: නල්ලුරුව ස්කන්ධ කුමාර කෝවිල). The original temple has long lost and the present complex is built during Dutch colonial period. Thanks Dr Mikram.

Two definitive stamps on nature series showing butterfly, with face values, Rs 50 and Rs 20, were used. They were cancelled on 5.11.2024 presumably from General Hospial PO, the usual place.

A postcard showing the building of Colombo National Museum (කොළඹ ජාතික කෞතුකාගාරය, கொழும்பு தேசிய நூதனசாலை). A museum founded by then governor of Ceylon, Sir Gregory in 1877. Thanks Dr. Mikram.

A beach view postcard showing the cystal blue beach at Moragalla (මොරගල්ල), near Beruwala (බේරුවල) in the west coast of Sri Lanka. Thanks Dr. Mikram.

Two commemorative stamps on Sri Lanka - Singapore Diplomatic Relation were used; a Rs15 stamp on coral reef and a Rs45 stamp on mangrove plants. Together with a Rs10 flower definitive stamp, they were cancelled at General Hospital Post Office on 19.7.2023.

LK-P45

A multi-view postcard on Anuradhapura (අනුරාධපුරය in Sinhala, or அனுராதபுரம் in Tamil). This city is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name "Sacred City of Anuradhapura". On the left is a stupa known as Ruwanweli Maha Seya (රුවන්වැලි මහා සෑය). On the right, the top is Jetavanaramaya (ජේතවනාරාමය). The center is stupa in Lankarama. The bottom is Abhayagiri Dagaba. A Rs10.00 flower stamp and twp Rs30.00 moth stamps were used. They were cancelled at post office of General Hospital on 10.4.2023.

A coastal view postcard from Eastern Province of Sri Lanka showing Pigeon Island National Park (පරවි දූපත ජාතික උද්‍යානය) and beach in Nilaveli (නිල්වැල්ල, Tamil: நிலாவெளி). Pigeon Island is one of the marine national park in Sri Lanka and not from the island is Nilaveli, a tourism spot. Thanks Mikram

This temple is located in the Royal Palace complex of the former kingdom.  A postcard on a luxury vintage steam train. This locomotive is called "Viceroy Special", the only steam train still in operation to the hill capital of Kandy (මහනුවර). The journey is said to be most picturesque train journey. This picture might be taken at Fort railway station (කොටුව දුම්රිය ස්ථානය), Colombo. Thanks Mikram.
