BG-P11

A postcard showing the people, from ancient to current, on the land now know as Bulgaria. The prehistoric, Thracian, Proto-Bulgarian and Slav people have been to this land and bring with their colorful art and culture. Thanks ceruleanmind.

A postcard on Rogozen Treasure (Рогозенско съкровище) of Thracian. These artifacts were found in a village in the northwestern of Bulgaria and named after this village, Rogozen. A find of a century, it consisted of various silver artworks dated back to 4th to 6th Centuries B.C. Thanks ceruleanmind.

















This card sent together with a map card inside an envelope. Three stamps were used; they are 0,40лв moth, 0,30лв artifact, and 1лъв scenery. It was sent from София (Sofia) 1040 on 10.4.2013.

These places are Elena, Koprivshtitsa, Arbanasi, Zheravna, Tryavna, Kovachevitsa, Balchik, Nesebar, Sozopol, Shiroka Lake, Plovdiv, Zlatograd, Melnik, Bansko, and Mogilitsa. A multiview postcard on the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, and its outskirts. First row (from left to right) are view of the temple-monument "Sveti Aleksandar Nevski" (Свети Александър Невски), mural painting from "Sveti Georgi" (Свети Георги) Rotonda, view of the National Palace of Culture (Национален дворец на културата) and city view. The pictures of second row are Church of Boyana (Боянска църква), view of Vitosha (Витоша) mountain, another city view and sculpture in the Southern Park. Third and final row shows Morenite, "Hilton" Hotel, Boyana's Waterfall and Dragalevskia Monastery (Драгалевски манастир). Among these places, Boyana Church is listed in UNESCO World Heritage List under the same name. Thanks ceruleanmind.

A postcard on Rila Mountains (Рила) in Western Bulgaria. Large part of these mountains are within the Rila National Park. Rila Lake is shown here too. The Rila Monastery (Рилски манастир), shown in lower left, is also known as Monastery of Saint Ivan of Rila. It is listed in UNESCO World Heritage List using its name, "Rila Monastery."
