Morteratsch Glacier (Morteratschgletscher) in Bernina Range of the Bündner Alps in Switzerland. It is the largest glacier found in Bernina Range but threatened by global climate change. Thanks Vre.

This card was sent with a charity stamp of 1983 (70 + 30) and a definitive stamp (1.20). They are cancelled with a pictorial postmark of Luzern 6000 on 23.6.2010.

A snow-covered landscape postcard from Saanenland in the Canton of Bern. It shows the Gummfluh, one of the peaks of Bernese Alps. Thanks zasa.











Two 85Rp. (c./ct./rp) stamps on tree and children drawing and a 10Rp. (c./ct./rp) wheat stamp were used to send this postcard. They are cancelled by a meter cancellation from Härkingen 4621 on 7.1.2010.

CH-P6

Matterhorn, a mountain peak at the border of Switzerland and Italy. It is overlooking Zermatt, a village in German-speaking Valais Canton. This mountain is part of Pennine Alps, the western side of the Alps. Thanks azzurri.





















A 180 centimes stamp on Pentorama is used to send this postcard. It was sent from Zürich-Mulligen Briefzentrum 8010 on 29.11.2009. This meter cancellation has the Swiss Cross on it.

CH-P5

Rhein Falls (or Rheinfall in German) are the largest plain waterfall in Europe. These falls are located in High Rhin, near Schaffhausen. The building on the background is Schloss Laufen. Thanks jamie1972.
















Another Swiss postcard with a 180Rp (c./ct./rp.) owl stamp. This postcard was sent from Littau 6014 on 8.9.2009. The pictorial meter cancellation shows the town view with its name. Orange-color bar code was printed just below the cancellation.

Klosters Dorf and Platz at 1200m with Madrisa Bahn (cable car). It is a well known skil resort near Zürich. A view from the top with the cable car going up. Thanks azzurri.

Stained glass of the St Pierre Cathedral in Genève. It shows St Matthew and St. Marks. This church is best known as the adopted home of John Calvin, a leader in Protestant Reformation. Thanks Laurelijulien.




















A Swiss postcard sent from France, a €0.90 condor stamp was used to send this postcard. It was sent on 4.8.2009 with meter cancellation with code 15254A.







Another round-shape postmark with different date found its way on the bottom of this postcard. There must be some mistake in handling this postcard because of the postcode. Apparently, it was sent to Pontarlier with the same postcode of mine (25300). A Pontarlier postmark was cancelled on 7.8.2009.

The two mountains, Bürgenstock and Stanserhorn near Lucerne. Bürgenstock is completely surrounded by Lake Lucerne. Both mountains are famous as viewpoints. Thanks jamie1972.















A 180 owl stamp was used to send this postcard on 3(?).8.2009. The priority label is attached with the stamp. The machine cancellation from Härkingen 4621 has a Swiss cross symbol.

Arosa is situated at the end of the Schanfigg valley and it is well known for its summer and winter resort. Postcard shows the summer view for the mountains, Schwellisee and Aelplisee. The main picture shows the highland flowers, alpenrosen. Thanks azzurri.

A 180 centimes stamp on Pentorama, an architecturally innovative new multi-purpose building in Amriswil, was used to send this postcard from Lachen, Schwyz (SZ) on 24.6.2009. The "C" is missing in Lachen but no problem to identify it with the postcode 8853.
