NL-P29

A bird-eye view postcard showing Amsterdam's Grachtengordel (Canal District). Many of the houses at this district were first built in 17-century and renovated across varies of time. It represents the golden age of sea faring and trading in this country. The district is added into UNESCO World Heritage List under the name "Seventeenth-Century Canal Ring Area of Amsterdam inside the Singelgracht". Thanks Josep & Assumpta.












A NVI stamp for 1st class international postal rate was used. But it was not cancelled.

A multiview postcard with pictures of 's-Gravenhage (Den Haag or The Hague) and descriptions of the pictures. On the top left is the Peace Palace (Vredespaleis) which houses the International Court of Justice. Binnenhof in the center and it is the political center. On the right is the Noordeinde Palace, the working palace for the Queen. At the bottom left is the Mauritshuis, an art museum. Thanks Cindy79.















Three surcharge stamps of old currency were used. They are 70+30cents child and bird, 70+35cents Floriade and another Floriade stamp with face value 70+30cents. These stamps were cancelled with meter cancellation but the place and date are unknown as they are illegible.

NL-P18

 A view on the Nyenrode Business University, the private university in the Netherlands, also spelled as Nijenrode. The campus is located in Breukelen, Utrecht, it is dominated by the thirteenth-century castle estate. Thanks femkedorien.















Several stamps were used on this postcard and pasted zip-zap across this card. They are 1st class Postzegel 2010 stamp, 44 cents teapot set with its label and tab, a 2 cents and 5 cents definitive stamps. The meter cancellation with its 5-wavy lines lost its date stamp. Therefore, not able to tell where and when it was sent.
