A home-made postcard by Tinian Public Library for the school student to write to the private swapper. It shows the front view of the library. It is located in San Jose, the largest village on the island. Thanks TPL and Romeo S. (the student who wrote this card).

The Northern Mariana Islands is belonged to the US Postal System. A $1 art stamp of Wisdom, Rockefeller Center, New York City was used in stead of 98 cents. This postcard was sent on 7.7. 2009. A fine example of red-color postmark from San Jose Rural Branch, Tinian MP 96952.

MP-P1

A sea poison tree (Barringtonia asiatica) flower from Tinian Island, Northern Mariana Islands in the Pacific. This plant is found across tropical from Indian Ocean to Western Pacific. Thanks heyjude for this private swap.

A US airmail stamp of Trunk Bay (94 cents) was used to sent this postcard. This is because the Commonweath of Northern Mariana Islands is part of the US Postal Service. Therefore, US stamps are being used here. This card was sent from San Jose, the main village on the island of Tinian on 1.5.2009. The postmark is "San Jose Rural ???/May 01 2009/Tinian MP 96952". A postage due postmark was stamped by the side. This might due to recent increase of postage of US Postal Service but postage due is not collected.
