SL-P6

A surprise postcard swap from Slovenia. This postcard shows the view of Kamnik, a town in northern Slovenia. Castle ruin of Mali grad (Little Castle) is shown here with the chapel at the left.Thanks Karmen.
















Two flower definitive stamps were used; a 0,48€ and a D-value non-indicator stamp. They were nicely postmarked at Ljubljana 1121 on 11.10.2012.

A postcard showing the nature view in Slovenia. It is the Vintgar Gorge (Soteska Vintgar) near Bled. It is a 1.6km gorge carved by Radovna River. Wooden observation walkways and bridges are built for the visitors. It was opened to visitors since 1893. Thanks copacabana.




















A 0,77€ Year of the Rabbit stamp was used. It was cancelled with postmark of Radomlje 1235 on 14.3.2011. The town name is not fully inked on this card.

An aerial view of Ljubljana. The building with green dome and twin towers is Ljubljana Cathedral (Ljubljanska stolnica) or St. Nicholas' Cathedral (Stolnica svetega Nikolaja). Thanks Vesna74.

A postcard showing the winter scenery of Julijske Alpe (Julian Alps), mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps. These mountain range stretch from Italy into Slovenia and it was named after Julius Caesar.  Thanks tinkara.















Three flower definitive stamps (the face values are €0,23, €0,02 and €0,10) were used. They were nicely cancelled at Križe (postcode: 4294) on 20.1.2010.

Vineyard in Kras (Krasu) Plateau, southwestern Slovenia, in the Littoral region. This place is famous for its karst topography and given the name, Krasu. This region has a relatively mild climate, suitable for cultivation of different kinds of fruits, such as this vineyard. Thanks ma7mak.















Two orchid definitve stamps were used on this postcard. They are with face value 0,05 and B-value indicated stamp. It was sent from Dutovlje, a settlement in Littoral region with postcode 6221, on 3.1.2010.

A multiview postcard from Slovenia. Pictures on the first row are the highest mountain in Slovenia (Triglav), lake view at Bled and watermill at Mlin na Muri. Pictures of second row show horses in Lipica, city view of Ljubjana and view of Logarska Dolina. Pictures of the last row show the tip of Piran, and town views on Snežnik and Otočec. Thanks dreamy.















A 0,75 orchid stamp was used to send this postcard. It was cancelled with a meter cancellation from Koper-Capodistria on 29.10.2009.
