The main entrance to a palace in Gomel, the Rumyantsev-Paskevich Residence (Палац Румянцавых — Паскевічаў). It is the main historical importance of this city.This neoclassical building is built between 1777 and 1796. Thanks Laskart.

Several definitive stamps were used; they are 100 and 20 flower stamps, and a 400 wolf stamp. The postmarks are so light but still managed to read it. They are from Minsk 27 and stamped on 12.3.2011.

A postcard on the buzzard (Канюк), found in the Bialowieza Forest (Белавежская пушча). This forest, which is shared with Poland, is jointly listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List under the name "Belovezhskaya Pushcha / Białowieża Forest." This bird is looked like common buzzard (Канюк звычайны). Thanks AlexanderMur for this card and also others who have signed this card during a gathering.

















A BYR500 stamp on a lady holding wheat on folk holiday for harvesting (Dazhynki) and several flower definitive stamps (three BYR50 and one BYR30) were used. They were cancelled at Minsk PI-2 on 8.10.2010.

This card was sent from USA.Two 44 cents comic strips stamps on Beetle Bailey and Dennis the Menace were used together with two 5 cents American toleware stamps. They were cancelled with circular postmarks of North Quincy ???nch 02171 on 12.10.2010.

An aerial view of Castle of Mir (Мірскi замак). Located in Mir, this castle, firstly with Gothic architecture style, was completed in the 16th Century by Duke Ilinich. Later, it was changed hand and firnished with Renaissance style. It was changed hand many times before restored.This castle complex is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List under the name "Mir Castle Complex". According to sender, this castle is shown on the BYR50,000 banknote too. Thanks Mary_N for sharing detail information on the card.












This card was sent from Vitebsk 32 on 3.12.2010. According to the sender, Vitebsk is the cultural capital of Belarus. Several flower definitive stamps (face values BYR30, BYR50 and BYR100) were used together with a season greeting stamp with face value BYR500. This BYR500 stamp shows the scene during Kalyady, a folk Slavonic holiday. It lasts for 2 weeks from Christmas until Baptism of Jesus.

It was sent using two animal stamps; a BYR200 European mink definitive stamp and a BYR500 Western barbastelle bat stamp. The meter cancellation is printed at the wrong place leaving these stamps uncancelled.

A pair of 300 hare stamps and two flower stamps of different face value (30 and 50) were used. It was cancelled with a typical machine cancellation of Belarus on 14.10.2010. However, the place name is not recognizable.

It has a pre-printed B-value (2009) postage paid label. A Br300 hare and three Br30 flower stamps were added. It was processed at Minsk P1-2 on 13.8.2010.
