A postcard showing the snow-covered highest mountain range in mainland Portugal, Serra da Estrela. This geological feature is part of Sistema Central, which is shared between Portugal and Spain. Portuguese side of mountain is protected as Serra da Estrela Nature Park. There is a ski resort in this mountain. Thanks Martinha.















It was sent using a €0,80 seramic containers stamp. This cancellation is blur, postcode 6300 (Guarda) is visible at the bottom.

Two contemporary flower definitive stamps with face values 55 cents and 45 cents were used to pay the postage for this postcard. It was sent from Briefzentrum 20 (Hamburg-Zentrum) on 26.11.2009 with WWF panda meter cancellation.

A postcard showing a group of dairy cattles. With their black and white markings, they are looked like Holstein dairy cow. Thanks mindanao for this postcard and sharing her story on milk.















An E class stamp of ink bottle was used to send this postcard. It was sent from Kyiv on 17.11.2009. A clear meter cancellation with 3-wavy lines from the capital city.

CN-P43(MO)

A postcard with three lions roaring in unison (起吼三狮) of the Lugou Bridge (卢沟桥 or more famously known as Marco Polo Bridge). It is also the site famous for the starting of Sino-Japanese War in 1937 in the Marco Polo Bridgee Incident. Thanks Kirsti for sending this postcard she bought during her trip to Beijing.




















This postcard was sent from Macau inside an envelope. The postage (MOP$11.00) was paid using postage meter from Areia Preta (黑沙環) on 24.11.2009. The white rectangular shade at the lower right is purposely used to cover sender's address.














Another part of postage meter is shown at the back of this envelope with promoting philatelic subcription label. As it was sent with other gifts inside, a green custom label is sticked at the back. A blue square "Dilepaskan" (Released) mark of Malaysian Custom was stamped on 30.11.2009.

AT-L2

A painting postcard showing murders occurring, Wien in 1470. Thanks erlkoenigstochter for the lottery. As a postal label covers the description partially, nothing more could I know this painting.



















A 140 eurocent 100 years of airfield in Wiener Neustadt stamp with an aircraft was used to send this postcard. It was sent on 14.9.2009 from Krems an der Donau with postcode 3500. Very neat postmark.

A postcard of East China Normal University (华东师范大学) showing its library. A well-known university in Shanghai with two campus in the city, Minhang District and Putuo District. Thanks Xumengting.












It was sent from Shanghai Wujing 7 (上海 吴泾 7) on 17.9.2009. Wujing is where Minhang Campus is located. A 3 Yuan greetings stamp was used to pay its postage.

US-P17(DE)

The Pentagon, headquarter of the US Department of Defense. It is a symbol of US military. Located in Arlington County, Virginia, this building was built during Second World War. The water body at the background is Potomac River. Beyond this river is the District of Columbia. Thanks Liskatze.















An American postcard sent from Germany. A €1.00 flower definitive stamp was used on the card but there is no cancellation.

US-P16

A postcard on transportation in the Great Lakes in northeastern North America. These freighters are important for the transporting cargo and goods in these lakes. Freighters, showing on this card, are "The Kaye E. Baker", "The Algowest" and "The Stewart J. Cort". Thanks HeatherC.

A pair of 44cents lighthouse stamps (Biloxi, Mississippi and Sand Island, Alabama) were used together with a 10cents Fort Harrod stamp, issued in 1974, to pay the postage. This card was sent from Watertown NY 136 on 14.9.2009. This meter cancellation is very clear but did not cancel two stamps.

A postcard issued for a property developer, QF Real Estate (庆丰房产). This pencil sketch shows the Minren Condominium (名人公寓) in Jiaqing, Zhejiang (浙江 嘉兴). Postcard ID is 2006(1102)-0015(6-5). Thanks SvelterGarde.















It is sent from Shanghai Wujing 7 (上海 吴泾 7) on 24.9.2009. Only the pre-printed 60 Fen lotus stamp was used to pay the postage. An underpaid postcard without any postage due marking.
