IE-P10

A rural view of County Wicklow, south of Dublin. This area is called 'The Garden of Ireland.' The monastery in the picture is Glendalough (Gleann Dá Loch). Thanks Chrissybaby.




















A 82 cents flower definitive stamp was used. A meter cancellation with slogan "unicef.ie" cancelled this stamp. Due to its illegible appearance, place and date are unknown.

 

NL-P19

A multiview postcard with pictures of 's-Gravenhage (Den Haag or The Hague) and descriptions of the pictures. On the top left is the Peace Palace (Vredespaleis) which houses the International Court of Justice. Binnenhof in the center and it is the political center. On the right is the Noordeinde Palace, the working palace for the Queen. At the bottom left is the Mauritshuis, an art museum. Thanks Cindy79.















Three surcharge stamps of old currency were used. They are 70+30cents child and bird, 70+35cents Floriade and another Floriade stamp with face value 70+30cents. These stamps were cancelled with meter cancellation but the place and date are unknown as they are illegible.

It has a 80 Fen pre-printed Year of the Tiger stamp. Four more stamps were added; they are 1.20 Yuan woodprint new year picture (2009-2, 4-2), 1.20 Yuan University Science and Technology of China (2008-23, 1-1), 1.20 Yuan ancient academy (2009-27, 4-3) and 30 Fen crane (2001-3, 10-1). They were cancelled at Tianjin Tianjinzhan 6 (天津 天津站 6) on 15.10.2010.

KR-P2

Gyeonghoeru or 경회루 (慶會樓 or The Royal Banquet Hall) of the Gyeongbokgung Palace or 경복궁 (景福宮) in northern Seoul. This building was a hall to hold state banquet during the Joseon Dynasty. Thanks irinka80.















A ₩340 dinosaur stamp and a ₩10 South Korean flag stamp were used. It was sent from SL. Itaewon 1 on 20.10.2010.

It has a 80 Fen pre-printed Year of the Ox stamp. A pair of 1.20 Yuan stamps (2007-3, 2-1 and 2-2) were added. They were cancelled with postmarks of Shanghai Luxungongyuan 21 (上海 鲁迅公园 21) on 4.10.2010. "Luxungongyuan" is Luxun Park.

US-P40

The Scranton Iron Furnaces in Scranton, Pennsylvania, is a historical site in the city that preserve four massive stone blast furnaces, which were built between 1848 and 1857. It produced the T-rails for American railroads until 1902. Thanks HeatherC.

A pair of 44 cents Negro Leagues Baseball stamps were used with a 10 cents horse racing stamp. This card was sent from Syracuse NY 132 on 16(?).10.2010.

ES-P22

A postcard with reproduction of a poster of shipping company in the 1920s. It promoted the voyage of Vigo in South American Atlantic coast, from Pernambuco until Buenos Aires. Thanks luiseme.

A view on the Puerto Varas. A place with German influence due to the migration in 19th Century. The building at the center is Puerto Varas Church (I. Sdo. Corazon de Jesus). The mountain in the background is Osorno Volcano. The water body is Lake Llanquihue. Thanks BigC.















 It was sent with two stamps; a $10 Artequin and $500 Cabriela Mistral stamps. They were cancelled with postmark of Suc. Paseo Estacion Caja 1 on 14.9.2010.

Three marine life definitive stamps were used; they are 7 lionfish, 5 giant clam, and 1 seahorse. They were cancelled with postmark of  Matina Post Office - Metro, Davao on 18.10.2010.

A postcard on the monastery Kyiv Pechersk Lavra (Києво-Печерська лавра) by the side of Dnieper River in autumn. Together with other related historical church, this monastery is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List under the name "Kiev: Saint Sophia Cathedral and Related Monastic Buildings, Kiev Pechersk Lavra." This forest, which is shared with Poland, is jointly listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List under the name "Belovezhskaya Pushcha / Białowieża Forest." A nature view on Estonian landscape, the exposure of sandstone cliff along the Ahja River (Ahja jõgi). This river begins from Lake Erastvere and ends in river Emajõgi. Thanks eellaa.















It was sent with two different 4.40kr stamps; a white stork and a Paistu local costume stamps. A 0.30kr (0.02€) flower stamp was added. They were cancelled at Tallinn PK on 13.10.2010.

US-P39

Another card on the river boating on the Ohio River from Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky. Thanks zeroday.















It was sent with two 44 cents comic strips stamps; Beetle Bailey and Calvin & Hobbes. A 10 cents American clock stamp was added to make up the rate for international destination. Meter cancellation with postal slogan "Always use zip code" cancelled these stamps, except the 10 cents that is too far away from the cancellation. This cancellation is very light and not able to read the place, except seeing it was from TN 3???2 and done it on Oct 12.

NL-P18

 A view on the Nyenrode Business University, the private university in the Netherlands, also spelled as Nijenrode. The campus is located in Breukelen, Utrecht, it is dominated by the thirteenth-century castle estate. Thanks femkedorien.















Several stamps were used on this postcard and pasted zip-zap across this card. They are 1st class Postzegel 2010 stamp, 44 cents teapot set with its label and tab, a 2 cents and 5 cents definitive stamps. The meter cancellation with its 5-wavy lines lost its date stamp. Therefore, not able to tell where and when it was sent.

The landmark skyscraper of Taipei City, Taipei 101 (台北101). It is located in Xinyi District, Taipei (台北市信義區). At 508m height, it was once the tallest building in the world (2004-2010).
