A commemorative postcard from China's State Postal Bureau with postcard ID JP-142 (1-1). It is issued for the 2007 China Water Games (中国水上运动会) in Rizhao, Shandong (山东 日照). This Games was held between August 28 and September 8. A mascot of the Games is printed on the card and also a pre-printed 80 Fen stamp with the Games' emblem. It was cancelled with Guangdong Shenzhen Pingxin 2 (广东 深圳 平信 2) postmark. "Pingxin" means ordinary mail. Thanks MingZhu.

Additional stamps were affixed on the back of the postcard but they are not canceled. Two 150Fen wall painting of Helanshan (1998-21, 3-3) stamps and one scenery 80 Fen (2004-24, 12-2) Stamp. Altogether, the postage paid to send this postcard, including the face value of the card, is 4.60 Yuan. The sender also printed a list of results of Grand Slam by tennis player, Roger Federer.

Lots of low denomination stamps used on this postcard. The stamps are 44 cents blacelets, three 17 cents bighorn sheep, two 4 cents Chippendale chair, two 3 cents Striped Star and a 1 cent Tiffany lamp. The total amount postage paid is USD1.10. It is overpaid. The postcard was sent from Des Moines, Iowa, on 9.7.2009.

Another heritage monument from Lukang (鹿港), this is the Tianho Temple (天后宮). It is built during Ming Dynasty (1573). This temple is dedicated to Mazu. The temple is also declared as national third class mounument. Thanks AnnHuang.

A rather blur postmark. Actually, this card was re-sent. The frst time I received it was un-cancelled. So, I sent it back to the sender to re-send it. Well, at least, this time came with a postmark. Only the lower part of postmark is seen here. It was sent on 11.7.2009.

Chicago Water Tower is the second oldest water tower in United States of America. This tower was built in 1869. It is the symbol of Old Chicago and one of the few survival buildings of Great Chicago Fire 1871. Thanks ashulman.

This postcard was sent with a 98 cents airmail stamp. The cancellation is a bit blur. It was sent from Palatine (?) on 9.7.2009. This seven-wavy lines cancellation with a round date stamp might be of the former type. Most of the meter cancellations I received are without the round date stamp and wavy lines.

It was sent from Suzhou Kunshan Bingxi 3 (苏州 昆山 兵希 3) on 8.7.2009. Two stamps were used. They are 3 Yuan greeting stamp and 1.50 Yuan 10th Anniversary of the Return of Hong Kong to its Motherland (2007-17, 3-3).

The Pearl Shoal Waterfall (珍珠滩瀑布) in Jiuzhaigou Valley (九寨沟) in Sichuan (四川). It is one of the scenic area in the valley, which is a UNESCO heritage site under the name "Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area". Thanks Hoping.

This postcard was sent with international surface postcard rate, which is 3 Yuan. Three stamps were used. They are 200 Fen coral fish (1998-29, 8-7) and two 50 Fen stamps (1998-23, 3-1 and 1998-25, 4-3). It was posted at Guangdong Zhuhai Beishida (Dai) 1. The postmark in Chinese is 广东 珠海 北师大 (代) 1. Beishida is the short form of Beijing Normal University.

Two red-colored North Quincy postmarks cancelled the three stamps on 9.7.2009. Two animals stamps (64 cents dolphine and 28 cents polar bear) and a 5 cents American Teleware stamp were used. Only 97 cents?











Well, another stamp found its way on the postcard. The 1 cent Tiffany lamp stamp is pasted on the other corner by the side of the barcode printed by post office.

This postcard was sent from Shandong Dezhou Yingye 8 (山东 德州 营业 8) on 5.7.2009. Four different stamps with the same face value, 1.20 Yuan, were used. They are Chinese calligraphy (2007-30, 6-5), dragon dance (2007-8, 2-1), scenery (2007-23, 3-2) and heritage building (2007-28, 4-2).

Amazing, this postcard was sent only with its pre-printed 40 Fen Year of the Tiger stamp. A commemorative postmark to commemorating stamp collecting going into school in Linyi (临沂集邮进校园纪念) on 1.6.2009. It is cancelled at a temporary postoffice in Shangdong Linyi No.4 Experimental Elementary School (山东临沂 第四实验小学). Additional round pastmark from Shangdong Linyi Miaozhuang 5 ( 山东 临沂 苗庄5) is stamped on the same day.

The pre-printed 60 Fen stamp is partially covered by a 80 Fen bird definitive stamp. Together with two 1 Yuan bird stamps, the postage paid is 3.40Yuan. Red colored machine cancellation from Guangdong Shiqiao 5 (广东 市桥 5) was printed on 6.7.2009. Additional postmark of Guangdong Shiqiao 43 (广东 市桥 43) compliment the cancellation process as one of the 1 Yuan stamp was not cancelled by the machine cancellation.

A Rp2500 stamp of Beijing Olympic Games stamp with a lion playing badminton (3/4) was used to send this postcard. The postmark was partilly seen. It is from Jakarta Selatan (?) with the number 332 and stamped on 28.6.2009 (?).

Praça Rui Barbosa. also known as Praça da Estação (Station Square), in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The building in the square as shown here is an old train station. It is currently housed the Museum of Arts and Workmanship. Thanks Luciano.

A meter cancellation with BS1,10 from Rovigo, Belo Horizonte-MG (MG is the short form of Minas Gerais) is printed on the postcard to pay for the postage. A upper and lower part of the cancellation is not aligned. The lower part is slightly shifted to the right.

The bank of Wenchang River (文昌江) in Wenchang, Hainan (海南 文昌). The coconut trees are symbolic to the Hainan Island as this island is the only place where coconut trees can be found naturally in China. Thanks Lin for finding this postcard.

This postcard was sent from Kuopio on 1.7.2009. The stamps used on the postcard are a man resting among the flower (1 lk/kl) and flower stamp (0.05€). Both stamps were machine cancelled with five wavy lines.

A Year of the Ox stamp with face value 80 Fen is pre-printed on the postcard. Another 80 Fen sail ship greeting stamp was added together with 3 Yuan greeting stamp. Altogether, it was sent with 4.60 Yuan postage. This postcard was sent from Neimenggu (Inner Mongolia) Baotou Linyinlu 6 (内蒙古包头 林荫路 6) on 25.6.2009. The Mongolian script in the postmark is Buɣutu, the name of Baotou City in Mongolian.

This postcard comes with a pre-printed 80 Fen stamp. A 2 Yuan bird stamp and two 10 Fen environmental stamps were added to make up 3 Yuan, surface international postcard postage. The stamps were cancelled with red-color machine cancellation with five wavy lines on top of the date stamp from Hunan Chenzhou Chukou (1). The Chinese characters are 湖南 郴州 出口(1). "Chukou" means export.

Four stamps were used to send this postcard from Budapest on 22.6.2009. They are grape stamp (140Ft), a 62Ft stamp in stamp and two traditional chair stamps (8Ft and 10Ft). Two Budapest 72 postmarks were neatly stamped.
